The Dutch founders and owners of Houses of Asia began their journey in the tourism and hospitality industry in the Netherlands in 1984. Over the decades, they witnessed travel evolve from traditional package holidays into a world where travellers increasingly seek freedom, flexibility and more personal experiences. Bali was one of the destinations at the forefront of this change.

After relocating to Indonesia in 2008, we established PT Rumah Dunia, with Houses of Asia as its public-facing brand. We recognised the growing potential of Bali’s private villa market and built a company dedicated to helping villa owners protect, manage and maximise the potential of their properties.

Over the years, we have supported villa owners with every aspect of property and rental management. From preparing villas for the rental market and managing daily operations to reservations, guest services, staff coordination and revenue optimisation, our approach has always been practical, personal and focused on long-term results.

Today, Houses of Asia combines more than 40 years of international hospitality experience with deep local knowledge of Bali. The day-to-day management of the company is in the hands of experienced local professionals, each with expertise in their own field. This creates an ideal combination of European business standards and Balinese knowledge, expertise and understanding.
